About Us
We are a friendly, family-oriented church consisting of around 20 to 30 members in an ethnically diverse city suburb of Claremont in Cricklewood, London.
We have an established presence in our community and are well connected with the other local churches and community clubs. We are excited about our collective desire to build children and youth ministries and to encourage one another in reaching out to our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We welcome people of all backgrounds and walks of life so please feel free to pop in on a Sunday or at our other gatherings during the week to experience our church first hand.
What We Believe
A Triune God
There is one God, who exists eternally in three distinct, but equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is unchangeable in his holiness, justice, wisdom, mercy and love. He is the almighty Creator; Saviour and Judge who sustains and governs all things according to his sovereign will for his own glory.
The Authority of the Bible
God has revealed himself in the Bible, which consists of the Old and New Testaments alone. Every word was inspired by God through human authors, so that the Bible as originally given is in its entirety the Word of God, without error and fully reliable in fact and doctrine. The Bible alone speaks with final authority and is always sufficient for all matters of belief and practice.
Being God-breathed, the Bible is called the Word of God and is therefore fully reliable as originally given. It’s our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2nd Timothy 3:16-17 / 1st Peter 1:20-21
Jesus Christ as Lord
Having lived a sinless life on earth, Jesus died in the place of sinners, taking God’s punishment for them on Himself. He resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven, becoming the King of kings.
John 1:1,14, 8:56-59 / Romans 8:34 / Gal. 4:4-5 / Philippians 2:5-11
The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life in obedience to the Father. He taught with authority and all his words are true. On the cross he died in the place of sinners, bearing God’s punishment for their sin, redeeming them by his blood. He rose from the dead and in his resurrection, His body ascended into heaven where he is exalted as Lord of all.
Salvation is the Work of Grace
Salvation cannot be earned by works and is never deserved. It is accomplished by the Lord Jesus’ death and offered to all without exception. All who believe are justified by faith in Jesus alone. They are adopted in God’s own family and receive eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8-9 / Titus 3:4-5
Our Motto
KNOW JESUS
Personal & Intimate Relationship with Jesus
As Christians we don’t believe in religion, the dry and cold following of rules and rituals, but we believe in relationship with the Almighty God through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus has called us friends in John 15:15, no longer just servants. This relationship is active and available for all.
For this reason, we believe that it is paramount that the individual believer is maintaining that personal relationship with the Son of God in daily life, to know God more, learn how to live in His ways and grow ever closer towards Him.
GROW TOGETHER
Corporate Relationship with God & Each Other
Although a personal relationship with Jesus is absolutely essential, it needs the whole Christian community of faith to pursue further transformation and growth as one people. As Christians we are called to be one body (1st Corinthians 12:12-31), and not to be solo Christians.
For this reason we at CFC come together to pray, study the Bible and have fellowship during the week and on Sundays, to grow together through love, comfort and exhortation towards Jesus. No one person has all giftings and it is vital for the body to work closely together to grow, nurture and live. Effort in meeting up, love for each other and personal vulnerability are key features for healthy ground for growth as a community. No one is meant to face life alone biblically speaking.
GO!
Taking action in witnessing and sharing the gospel for the salvation of anyone who would receive Jesus
Through a healthy personal relationship with Jesus and a strong God-loving and people-loving community, we are also commanded by Jesus not to keep this blessing of salvation a secret, but rather to spread the Good News of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection everywhere and be His witnesses (Matthew 28:18-20). The Christian faith is a loving, relational faith, but not a private one. We both witness Jesus personally, but also corporately as a Christian community, standing together in truth.
